Subassemblies
Knowledge, resources, costs and fixed capital are all elements of a supply chain. At IQ Metal, we offer solutions that include new value chain constellations, and through both upstream and downstream integrations, we aim to improve the benefits for our customers.
Subassemblies
At IQ Metal, we skillfully transform efficiently manufactured components into subassemblies. By combining our own production with third-party components, such as components in plastic, rubber, composite materials and much more, we deliver customized solutions that are in full compliance with our customers' needs and specifications. Our dedicated and quality-focused teams ensure that every product meets your specifications with every delivery. We carefully monitor and manage our processes in accordance with various quality standards. Quality can be checked by 3D probing or scanning and IQ Metal provides PPAP Level 5 documentation upon request. With certifications such as EN1090 and EN3834, IQ Metal is the preferred choice for demanding industries in the global markets.

Subassemblies
Leveraging decades of experience in handling our customers' bills of materials, often outsourced to our production, IQ Metal takes a step further. We assume responsibility not only for components but also for subassemblies, including the procurement and management of third-party products. This comprehensive service often entails navigating complex processes, some of which are new to us, with a deep understanding of the requirements associated with supplying to critical industries and customer segments. Our extensive knowledge in materials, surface treatments, assembly techniques, and particularly welding, underscores our proficiency. IQ Metal masters all these aspects, demonstrating our commitment to excellence in managing subassemblies for critical industries and customer segments, requiring profound expertise within our organization.

Welding as the most demanding subassembly process
When it comes to subassemblies, welding represents the most challenging, costly, and demanding process. There are various types and grades of welding, with the requirements for execution depending on the application of the products. Consequently, there is a significant variation in how welding should be performed and which companies are equipped to handle these tasks. The standards that need to be followed vary and become increasingly stringent for the most critical products and industries. IQ Metal has evolved its welding capabilities from being a traditional machine shop, accustomed to meeting customer demands with quality craftsmanship, to servicing some of the most demanding clients today, including those in the semi-automotive/commercial vehicles and offshore industries, among others. The current level, where IQ Metal has positioned itself among the absolute leaders, has been achieved through many years of continuous development, resulting in a highly competent welding organization. IQ Metal has 3 certified International Welding Engineers (IWEs), and our organization includes over 10 employees with master's degrees in welding. With the exception of Ultrasonic Testing (UT), which is handled by externally accredited partners, we manage all Visual Testing (VT) at level 3. IQ Metal has developed more than 300 certified welding procedures, delivers full traceability on all parameters concerning executed welds, and maintains all necessary certifications. Our welding is performed by skilled, certified welders, combined with advanced robotic welding using more than 14 welding robots operating continuously across three shifts.
With references to the above, IQ Metal is your qualified partner in welding.
